I made it another year! Goodbye 17 Hello 18!
The tradition continues and here I sit writing my annual post. I have had a really good year, which is ending with a little negative incident that has put a damper on the New Year Celebration. Two days ago I came home to heavy smoke and a fire at my house and there was a lot of smoke damage and a little water damage water. I am grateful to the fire department for saving the building with minimal damage. And all my animals were saved and are doing well and no one was hurt. So for that I am incredibly grateful. It could have been a lot worse, but thankfully things worked out.
Despite this hiccup though, I think 2017 was a very good year. In June I purchased a business called Allegra Marketing Print Mail, which is a printing and marketing business that does a lot of work with small businesses and state and local governments. It’s been a challenge, but I am so happy that I’ve had the chance to have this opportunity along with my travel business (which had about 50,000 in sales this year). I will continue to work on growth for both of these businesses next year.
I was medically retired after 23 years from the Army in February. I began this blog just as I reentered the military in 2006 and just as I was getting ready to deploy. I cherish my time serving the country and do miss it a lot. My goal for 2018 is to do what I can for my fellow veterans. I need to be active again with my troops. That’s is one of my goals. The others are:
1. Lose a few pounds and exercise more.
2. World Peace.
3. Do more for my vets.
4. Grow my businesses.
5. Love more.
6. Hate less.
7. Do better at updating this blog!
Well my loves, Happy New Year! God willing, see you next year!
