Goodbye 2025 Hello 2026

Well for the 20th Consecutive year, since 2006, I've posted at least once to this blog.  In the early years I posted often about my military deployments, sharing my experiences and my views on the war I was in and the social and political issues of the time.  And here we are again.  I reviewed carefully what I wrote last year.  About how I anxious and uncertain I was about things in my life.  And things around me.  Regarding our current political mess, all I can say is, there will be hell to pay in 2026.  If not at the ballot boxes, sadly, in the streets.  My work with veterans continues, things are fine with me and Miah, I have been blessed by a wonderful family --- a best friend and his family --- a beautiful fiancĂ©.  All the fur babies are doing well.   Although, they crave the same attention and affection that their dad does.  I have lost touch with old friends --- 2026 will be the year of reengagement.  I have made new friends --- 2026 will be the year those relationships are nurtured and they become lasting friendships.  Somehow, I am strangely at peace going into 2026.  Even if it looks like the world is spinning madly out of orbit.  Somehow I still have hope.  Goodbye 2025 and Hello 2026.
